State legal-status pages
Every state page cites at least one primary source — a court judgment, statute, or notification. Editors review each page at least every six months; pages older than that display a visible freshness banner. Content is informational, not legal advice.
Player rankings — GPI-style points
The PokerhubIndia leaderboard is a pseudonymous, handle-based ranking modelled on the Global Poker Index. Players claim a handle (no real name, no payment) and enter their own tournament results. Each result earns ranking points, not raw rupees — this keeps the leaderboard about tournament performance, not who happened to play the highest buy-in.
Points for a single result are a function of four inputs:
- Field size — larger fields award more points at every finish.
- Buy-in tier — a bounded multiplier so a mid-stakes deep run isn't dwarfed by a single high-roller min-cash.
- Finish position — points decay smoothly from first place down through the money.
- Recency — points age out on a rolling 36-month window with a decay curve, so the leaderboard reflects current form.
A player's overall score is the sum of their best qualifying results in the window, subject to a per-event and per-series cap. Ties break on number of scoring results, then on most recent scoring result.
Results are marked Verified when an editor confirms them against a published source (WSOP, APT, Triton, WPT, official Indian series results). Unverified results are still shown on a player's profile but do not count toward the leaderboard until verified. The snapshot recomputes nightly.
