PokerhubIndia.com (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an informational directory of legal poker venues in India. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDPA”).

1. What we collect

  • Newsletter form: email address only.
  • Contact form: name, email, optional subject, and your message.
  • Corrections form: name, email, the URL of the page you are asking us to correct, and your correction note.
  • Venue submission form: your name and email, the venue name and city, and any notes you send with the submission.
  • Account (optional): if you sign up to claim a ranking handle, we store your email, a display name, an optional handle and city, and your role on the site. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and never stored by us in plain text.
  • Analytics: anonymous usage data (pages viewed, device type, approximate region). We do not sell analytics data to third parties.

2. Why we collect it

  • To respond to contact, correction and venue-submission messages.
  • To send you newsletter updates if you have subscribed.
  • To operate accounts, ranking handles and editorial features you have signed up for.
  • To improve the site and detect abuse.

3. Lawful basis & consent

We collect and process your personal data on the basis of your specific, informed consent at the point of submission. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to hello@pokerhubindia.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share submitted messages with third parties. We use trusted infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email delivery) bound by their own privacy obligations.

5. Retention

Contact, correction and venue-submission messages are retained for up to 24 months unless you request earlier deletion. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Account data is retained until you delete your account.

6. Your rights under the DPDPA

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or completion of inaccurate data.
  • Request erasure of your data.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
  • Grievance redressal — write to us; if unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Children

This site is intended for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Cookies

We use a small set of cookies for session, analytics and preference storage. You can clear or block cookies via your browser at any time.
