Terms of Use
Last updated: June 2026
These terms (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PokerhubIndia.com (the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Nature of the Site
The Site is an editorial, informational directory of poker venues, events and news in India. We do not operate, host, organise, facilitate, broker or take any payment for poker games of any kind — online or in-person. We do not act as an operator under any state or central gaming legislation.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of contracting under Indian law to use the Site.
3. Legal status of poker in India
The legal status of poker in India is an open question following the Supreme Court’s May 2026 ruling, which classified skill games (poker named explicitly) as gambling for GST purposes, upheld retrospective 28% GST on the full face value of bets, and reaffirmed that individual states retain constitutional authority to prohibit or regulate poker within their borders. High Court jurisprudence historically treated poker as a game of skill, and those rulings have not been formally overturned, but the earlier confident position that live in-person poker is “unaffected” no longer holds. Some states (including Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Assam and Odisha) restrict gaming-for-stakes regardless of skill, and further state-level action is now clearly on the table. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 separately restricts uncertified online real-money games. You are solely responsible for determining the current legality of any game in your state and for complying with all applicable laws. See our state-by-state legal guide for the current summary.
4. No facilitation in restricted states
The Site does not connect users with hosts in states where poker for stakes is not legally permissible. Where listings appear for such states, they are strictly informational.
5. No endorsement of third parties
Listings of venues, events, promotions or operators are not endorsements. We do not verify licences, tax compliance or registrations of listed venues. You should independently verify any venue’s legal status, registrations and house rules before participating.
6. User submissions
If you submit a venue, promotion, lead or other content, you confirm that the information is accurate, that you have the right to submit it, and that the venue or event complies with all applicable state and central laws including licensing, registration and taxation requirements (e.g., GST on rake / buy-ins). We may refuse, edit or remove any submission at our discretion.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose, not to scrape or copy content without consent, and not to submit content that is misleading, defamatory, infringing or that promotes activity illegal in India.
8. Disclaimers
The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Content is editorial commentary and does not constitute legal, financial, tax or professional advice. Always consult a qualified advocate or chartered accountant for your specific situation.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PokerhubIndia.com, its operators and contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site, including any loss incurred at or in connection with any listed venue, event or operator.
10. Privacy
Use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the Site.
